Multiplying decimals

In room 8 we were investigating multiplying decimals to 10,100 and 1000's. This is an example in my maths book of multiplying decimals.

A special place in my heart

WALT write descriptive writing about our special place. My special place is the Waikumete Cemetery in West Auckland.

A Special Place For Me.

My special place is Waikumete Cemetery. It is a place where my grandma is buried. Sometimes I like to think that she is here with us still today. It is special because my grandpa made the headstone himself and he chose a place up on a hill facing the Waitakere Rangers. Another reason it is also special is because grandpa’s brother and parents are also buried in the same area where my grandma is.  

My cousin’s baby that died is buried next to my grandma and her headstone was broken in half  to share the headstone with my baby cousin. Now my cousin wants to renew the headstone but my grandpa doesn't want to because he wants the stone to stay the same because he knows, my grandma would have wanted that way too.

Waikumete Cemetery, is special to my whole family.

In room 8 we are learning about cool schools and mediator training.

My new buddy blogger!

This afternoon room 8 had buddy blogging.  In our room, our buddies are form the New Entrant and Year 1 and 2 classes.  My buddy  was Eli from room 2. Eli is new to St Patrick's school.  I look forward to being his new buddy blogger.

Want to meet an awesome inventor from the galaxies!!!

Letter to an awesome inventor who is from the galaxies and is ancient!!!

I would like to meet an inventor who visits galaxies because maybe he or she could tell me about what they have seen in other galaxies and what kind of inventions they have been working on over the  past years. Maybe the ancient inventor could tell us about what happen in ancient times where they lived maybe with Kings and Queens with silver and gold. Perhaps if I met this person maybe he or she might give me something valuable and ancient, a treasure from another place.. imagine that!
